Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Konvener, an online service operated by [Legal Entity Name] ("Konvener", "we", "us") that helps organizers run meetings and workshops and lets participants take part via a web app. By creating an account or joining a workshop you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts & eligibility

Organizer accounts require a valid email and a secure password. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. You must be legally able to enter a contract to use Konvener.

2. Roles

An organizer creates and controls a workshop. Participants join a workshop with a first name and institution; they do not create accounts. Organizers are responsible for the lawfulness of the workshop and for informing their participants how their contributions will be used.

3. Plans, billing & the Free tier

• The Free plan permits up to two active meetings, each up to five hours. The Pro plan is US$15/month and removes those limits (unlimited meetings and time, up to three concurrent meetings).
• Paid plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. Fees are stated exclusive of taxes, which may be added.
• We may change pricing on reasonable notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Konvener: no unlawful content, harassment, infringement, attempts to breach security or access data that is not yours, automated scraping, or overloading the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Your content

Organizers and participants retain ownership of the content they submit. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the service. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.

6. Availability & changes

We aim for high availability but provide the service "as is" and "as available". We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

7. Disclaimers & liability

To the extent permitted by law, Konvener is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the [12] months preceding the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using Konvener at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. On termination we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and disputes are subject to the [courts of jurisdiction].
